We're back! - Britmet Lightweight Roofing

It’s been a while but we’re (kind of) back!

For the past few months there have been many industry wide changes. Britmet’s doors have been closed and staff have been furloughed but we’ve taken the time to plan and prepare adjustments needed for the world’s ‘new normal’.

The DIY industry has been booming with experts estimating 6 out of 10 (60%) of 18 to 34-year-olds have taken up a DIY project during the UK lockdown. This comes in handy for homeowners, as learning how to fix, repair and renovate are important life skills and great money savers too! We have seen a huge influx of customers buying our products for renovation projects such as a new shed roof or freshening up their park home exterior paint.

While this was keeping the nation busy at home, we also had the opportunity to support essential projects for local councils and the NHS. We worked closely with Little Holme as they manufactured isolation pods to protect the homeless during these unprecedented times; with special thanks to our dedicated staff at the factory keeping the supplychain going for these essential projects.

With our office doors re-opening under the new government guidelines and a phased return of our furloughed staff. We have many new social distancing measures in place and state of the art equipment to test our staff’s temperatures.
